Why Shea Butter?

Shea Butter is a fat extracted from the nut of the African Shea tree. The process of making Shea Butter is a labour of love. The Shea nut is harvested and dried and pounded into small pieces. The nuts are roasted and transform into a dark chocolate colour paste. Which is whipped with water and the mixture is purified so the fat rises to the top and the oil settles at the bottom. The oil becomes hard and that is what we know as Shea Butter. This butter has many healing and moisturizing properties.
